CAF president confirms AFCON will go on as planned.

  Dr Patrice Motsepe                                                     by Bih Emmaculate The president of the Confederation of African Football, Dr Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that the 2021 African cup of Nations will kick off on January 9 2022  in Cameroon as planned. The CAF boss made the confirmation December 20 after a visit to the Paul Biya Stadium in Yaounde alongside Cameroon's Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngo Ngo. Dr Motsepe expressed his excitement to see Cameroon host Africa in January. Indomitable lions coach shortlists 40 players ahead of the AFCON: Brings in Clinton Njie and 3 new players.

As part of the preparations for the upcoming  2021AFCON, the head coach of the Indomitable  Lions of Cameroon, Antonio Conceicao, has named a 40 man squad consisting  of 3 new players with dual nationality and  brought back Njie Clinton  in order to strengthen  the indomitable  lions for the Can2021 battle  in January.  A lot of fans and football  lovers are so excited  with coach  Antonio's decision to include  Njie Clinton  in the competition  considering  the caliber of  player he is. Samuel Eto'o Fils elected president of FECAFOOT

Samuel Eto'o has been elected as president of the Cameroon football federation in an election that took place December 11 at the Mont Febe hotel in Yaounde. The former indomitable lions star won a majority of 45 votes out of 75. Out of the 76 delegates who were to vote in the elections, one was unceremoniously absent leaving the voting on the hands of the 75. Saidou Mbombo Njoya and Eto'o Fils have been at the forefront of the campaign for the top job after three candidates pulled out to throw their weight behind Samuel Eto'o leaving the two at the forefront. Eto'o has thus proved his supremacy over saidou Mbombo Njoya. Samuel Eto'o has now made history by securing the top job at the Cameroon football federation. The mascot for the 2021 African cup of Nations has begun a Nationwide tour in Yaounde today, December 9.

  Known as the "Mola", the mascot has embarked on a Nationwide tour to beckon on the Cameroonian citizens to come together inorder to stage a successful African cup of Nations come January. The journey of presenting the mascot estimated to last for 10 days kicked off December 9 in Yaounde and is expected to continue  to Bafoussam, Bamenda, Douala, Limbe, Buea, Ngoundere, Bertoua and finally Maroua and Garoua in the days ahead. Charged with ensuring the tour is hitch free are the various regional Presidents of the local organizing committee of the 2021 African cup of Nations .  The tournament comes up in barely 32 days and preparations are being done to ensure everything is top notch when the African cup of Nations kicks off in January. Cameroon receives the TotalEnergies African cup of Nations trophy ahead of the 2021 African cup of Nations.

Barely a month to the start of the African cup of Nations, the trophy is in Cameroon ahead of that competition. The highly sought-after trophy arrived Cameroon on Tuesday December 7 after being to 17 other countries. The minister of sports and physical education, Narcisse Muelle kombi received the trophy together with some of his collaborators as they promised, the country will spare no efforts in making next year's competition the best ever. After receiving the trophy, Minister Muelle kombi presented it to the prime minister, Joseph Dion Ngute at the star building in Yaounde. The African cup of Nations trophy will also be presented to each of the host cities of this year's competition. That is; Garoua, Limbe, Bafoussam and Yaounde. The trophy comes to Cameroon barely 35 days to the start of the African cup of  Nations to kick off in January. By Bih Emmaculate

Coton sport of Garoua overpower Mauritanian giants FC Nouadhibou 2-0.: Books a spot in the group stages of the CAF confederations cup

Kick442 The Cotonites have once again showed their dominance in the ongoing CAF confederations cup after trashing FC Nouadhibou 2-0 Dec, 5 at the Douala Reunification Stadium, to sail through to the group stages of the confederations cup. Marou Souaibou's brace was all it took for Cameroon's representative at the CAF confederations cup to make it past the second leg, third round preliminary game against FC Nouadhibou. The Cotonites went into this game with the sole aim of securing a win against their opponents to make it to the next stage of the confederations cup. Despite several missed chances at scoring in the first minutes of the game, Marou Souaibou broke the goal drought 21 minutes into play, scoring Coton sports first goal. This made the Mauritanian giants to sit up and improve on their attacking tactics in a bid to equalize but all attempts at securing an equalizer failed. PWD beats Renaissance 3-0 in the opening game of the Yaounde solidarity tournament

 The Abakwa boys were on target December 1 in the opening game of the Yaounde solidarity tournament. Nobert Nji secured the first goal for PWD just 29 minutes into play and Nchindo Cletus, newly signed midfielder, scored the double before half time Upon return to the pitch, Chem Herbert scored the third goal securing all 3 points of the game It is worth noting that, Coach David Pagou of PWD changed his strategy before this game, benching all the senior players but for Malachi Nfor and instead opted for the new recruits which paid off.
